On June 16
th, 17 th and 18th, 2006,
Doshu
Moriteru Ueshiba, has dictated a Seminar in the city of
Sao Paulo,
Brazil.
It
was performed in the “Centro
de
Eventos Sao Luis”,
where
one of its halls was conditioned
specially
for the practice
The
participants for this seminars were over 2000 practitioners, it was
classified as the second
biggest Aikido
attendance event in the world.
For this occasion a tatami of 2000 square meters were display to accommodate such a crowd, also, adding 2 giants television screens on both sides to have an optimum view to observe the technical development of this teacher.
We had enjoy 3 days of learning and practicing with this highest authority of Aikido world-wide., inherit from the roots of this traditional art, under a multitudinous frame.
In a special ceremony realized on Saturday 17th. Doshu was honored with the Anchieta Medal from the city of Sao Paulo, in the presence of the ex governor of the city, other brazilian authorities and the General Consul of Japan.
On June 15 th, professor Ricardo Lopez was invited for the greeting meeting honoring Doshu, at the famous “ Buffet olonial” a remarkable place for special events.
Doshu and all the guest were delighted with a super show, specially prepared with the participation of musician and dancers, playing tunes from different regions of Brazil.
