Suffering for pancreatic cancer, Nabuyoshi Tamura Sensei passed away on July 9^th, 2010.
8^th. Dan Aikikai, Shihan, was born on March 2^nd , 1933, being a prominent aikidoka, direct student of Morihei Ueshiba, O Sensei.
Entered at Hombu Dojo as uchideshi in 1953. He was one of the favorite UKE of O Sensei and is seen in many films being thrown by the founder.
He married Rumiko, student at the dojo of Morihei Ueshiba.
In 1964, Tamura Sensei was dispatched by the Aikikai to France (Marseille).
Tamura travels extensively and has established affiliated dojos and sister organizations in such countries as Italy, West Germany, the U.K., Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden.
He thus wields tremendous influence in Europe in both technical and organizational areas. He is the author of two books about te activity.
